I don't see the purpose of this

Your guitar sounds out of tune (or the files are just that compressed, it's hard to tell), and the program is awkwardly made. I can understand if that was intentional to reduce file size, but the program just seems to have no use. Could you please enlighten me to a use of this program? to teach people who don't know chords? To provide a referance for guitar tabs? I'm just plain not sure what this is for.

ya i have been getting some wicked ass ideas for other versions ya it wasnt tuned, lol i just tuned it and found out all the strings were way to low,i am going to put mini lessons in the new ones, and the use is just to have fun i guess, but ya im going to put the fingerings and every thing, good review

It's clearly alpha...

But it shows lots of potentional. Change the scroll to more like 1/3 of the screen (as mentioned by many other people here), and add more to it, and you have a winner on your hands. Great job, i look forward to the final version

An intresting, but flawed game

First of all, i have to complement you on your use of style in this game, everything feels well built, with a distinct sense of charcter and has a well defined, 2-d old skool feel to it. With that said, the game suffers from several flaws. Firstly, the difficulty is just over the top for something like this, which very quickly pushes the game from fun and good for consuming a few minutes of time, to tedious and obnoxious. Perhaps lower the amounts of items required to move to the next level to 100/70, and for people who get everything, include an extra bonus round or something. This leads into the game's most significant problem, which is that the engine itself simply isn't that intresting. Within a few minutes of playing, someone can easily master the controls, and the game becomes merely a chain of completing mundane tasks. So, i reccomend adding some additional items to spice up the gameplay, something akin to the ninja ropes in worms could fit the game well, or many other things. As for now though, it feels like a concept for a game, than a true game.

Commendable effort and progress, but it could some additions.

Cool

Your theme work could have been improved, but it's fun old-skool gaming. Nice job :)

Well it took 6 months so i was going in one direction in the beggin then in another in the end... well no excuse any way.

A cute little game

Good idea, and great for entertaining people for 5-10 minutes. And i'm sure you've given young pranksters many ideas with your advisory warning.

A fun little addictive game

Small, fun, and addictive, this game embodies all that sub 100k flash games should. One thing i would fix in future releases, is that the game never becomes unmanagable, in that eventually it comes to a point of bordem ending your game. My top score was 49109, anyone beat that?

An amazing work in progress

I'm sure that you already know most what i'm going to say, but i feel it couldn't hurt anyway.

First of all, great job :). I can't think of anyone offhand who's gone out of their way quite the same way you have to make such a great re-make of an older videogame. With that said however, the engine clearly needs a few tweaks. First of all, the game just doesn't feel right, it's hard to explain, it just feels too slow, and not like the NES classic. That applies doubly to the sucking power, it's just feels wrong.

As for the extremely obivious, level design could use some significant improvements, but it appears that you're just running a randomizer script for the levels, so it's hard to condemn you for spefics.

Right now, this stands as a great game on newgrounds, but in time, i suspect that the final version will be something of legend. Keep up the good work :)

A good game, but...

I do have a few comments. First of all, i think that adding power-ups could significantly increase the replay value of the game, after awhile, it starts to become tedious. Also, increasing the speed of the cannon would also improve the game, often, men and airplanes escape my cannon simply because the thing moves too slowly. Otherwise, it's a great game with an amazing size/gameplay ratio

Well, not that it's bad...

It's not a bad game, however, length doesn't make a game worthwhile. None of the mini-games are really intresting, there's no substance holding them together, animation is sub-par, and the audio is just plain out of place. I mean, you clearly put a lot of work into this game, and it's certaintly above a blam, it's just that... well, the game needs some direction.

Itz be tyme for the ghettomastah!
